Bailey - Co Founder of ElPasoDogParks.com

Our mission is to provide pet owners & dog lovers an online community to discuss and share ideas for requesting dog parks be built in El Paso, Texas. Properly built dog parks provide pet owners as well as non-profit organizations such as animal rescues & shelters a safe and secure place to socialize and exercise our beloved pets.

Dog parks in other cities have been shown to help reduce crime in those neighborhoods, promote outdoor family activities, improve public image, promote animal awareness, increase pet adoptions, promote local businesses, and cost very little to build and maintain. Please create an account on our website to join our community to learn more as it happens.

Thank you for stopping by!

Dog Park Coming To West El Paso
A new dog park is currently in the designing phase and expected to begin construction by the end of the year.
UPDATE 01/06/09: The dog park project has been postponed due to budget. They have decided to build a skate park instead.

UPDATE 04/29/09: I have spoken to City Representative Ann Morgan Lilly and she has said the project is NOT postponed indefinately. The project is being redisigned and is scheduled to be ready to begin in August 2009! More info as it becomes available.

The Eastwood "Bark Park" is still open however does not have a water station or shade. In addition to the heat factors the activity ramps are covered in black top which can get very hot in Summer months. Please take some water and consider those issues if taking your dogs to Eastwood "Bark Park".

It's important that we have these great places to excercise our pets but they must be done right and with concerns of the animals' safety.
